I couldn’t resist.

I’ve been waiting for a long while for Apple to put 32 gig in an iPhone. I wanted to combine my phone and my iPod and just carry one item.

So, despite saying I’d wait, I could help myself, and Saturday saw me get my PAC from TMobile (I’d stay, but they don’t have the iPhone) and a shiney new 32 gig 3G S is now mine.

A few things already to note. I like it. I like it a lot. It combines a load of things I want into one device. But it has a few basic things missing that I’m hunting for work-arounds for (yes, still)…..

• SMS delivery notification
  • EDIT: This can be done by prefixing each and every SMS with *0# — not ideal, but workable.
• How to change divert on unanswered/busy etc
  • EDIT: This can be done by entering **61*901*11*30# [SEND] where:
    • 61 is unanswered calls divert (62 is unavailable, 67 is busy)
    • 901 is O2 voicemail
    • 11 is voice (rather than data or fax)
    • 30 is the number of seconds (increments of 5, maximum of 30)

…and they’re just the ones I found so far…

On the whole though, I’m happy with my purchase.
